About Pathways 2 College

Pathways 2 College is a non-profit community based consortium of dedicated educators, parents and students spanning over 20 schools. Founded in 2004, its mission fits the growing need in our community to link students, home and professionals to create an educational path that ensures college entrance.

Our Mission Statement:

"The Mission of Pathways 2 College is to provide underrepresented students from grades 7 – 12 and their parents with skills, resources and information to prepare them for navigating the college admissions process."

Pathways 2 College is a unique program with two main goals of preparing students for academic success and enabling parents to function as educational advocates for their children. Throughout the school year, Pathways 2 College provides tutoring, mentoring and workshops such as career exploration, public speaking, writing, financial aid, study skills and preparation for college entrance exams to students in both middle school and high school. Additionally, the parents are provided skills to keep their student on a proven, successful pathway towards a college education.
